The APNIFFT regional caucus draws its membership from Africa’s regional economic blocs. These are East Africa Community (EAC), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
Each regional bloc is chaired by an elected member of the national chairs of each respective region.
The regional caucuses have been instituted because economic councils are increasingly taking the front seat in tax policy formulation for their countries.
