APNIFFT Continental Conference 2025

The 2025 APNIFFT Continental Conference will take place from 13–15 October 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the theme “A Decade of Combating Illicit Financial Flows and Advancing Tax Justice: Reflections, Innovation, and Political Will.”

The concept note highlights the critical role of African parliamentarians in addressing illicit financial flows (IFFs), strengthening domestic resource mobilization, and advancing tax justice across the continent. It provides background on the progress achieved over the past decade, outlines the challenges Africa continues to face—including rising debt, fiscal pressures, and global tax reforms—and sets out the objectives, expected outcomes, and strategic direction for APNIFFT beyond 2025.

This document is a guide for delegates, partners, and stakeholders to understand the purpose and ambition of the conference, and how parliamentary leadership can help shape Africa’s role in global financial governance.
